Vibonati is an ancient commune in southern Cilento also known as The Land of the Gates for its abundance of medieval stone gates. The important historical village is characterised by its historic centre, narrow alleyways and 12th-century church Sant'Antonio Abate, which features an intriguing churchyard at the highest point in town.
